"Monochromatic Green" is a painting I made while experiencing an excess of nervous, directionless energy. But my hope is that the end result portrays a sense of resolved calm.
For me, painting can be a meditation and a prayer. Something to do with my hands and interrupt an uncomfortable feedback loop in my brain. It's an exercise in surrender and faith. I have to relinquish control, let the paints do their thing, and trust that the outcome will be something I need to see.
Original Artwork is available on Arches 100% cotton, 140lb cold pressed watercolor paper, 7x10.25". Painted in August 2025. There are some subtle color pencil markings on the front, added by my 18month-old daughter. Signed lightly on the back with pencil by the artist, Sylvie Vo.
Art Prints are available on archival quality cotton savoy paper in an 8×10” size.
